Must do a proper update at some point. For now, let me say that I'm five courses out of six through chemo, still alive and kicking (although the last week after dose five wasn't a complete hoot) and clinging on. Would I prefer that my mother hadn't decided the best time to schedule the surgery she's been putting off for the last three years was for next week and choosing me to be her primary carer? Yes I would. She doesn't want to bother her friends because, in turn, they (a) have to have a repeat CT scan as something might be twisted in their bowel (b) have a grand-daughter recently diagnosed with diabetes and (c) have varicose veins. Apparently ovarian cancer and chemotherapy just don't cut it in that list of calamities. It's a good job I've retained my sense of humour.... :)
