1. What did you do in 2012 that you'd never done before?
Nothing huge.
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't make any. This year I plan to continue losing weight and reading more.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My friends Brian and Moira - I'm godmother to their daughter Evelyn Joy (Evie).
4. Did anyone close to you die?
5. What countries did you visit?
Only my own. My planned trip to Afghanistan didn't come off, sadly.
6. What would you like to have in 2013 that you lacked in 2012?
A more varied wardrobe.
7. What dates from 2012 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
The Olympics, being asked to be godmother to Evie, a lovely break in the Peak District.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I'm not sure I've had any big achievements. Losing a stone in weight, possibly?
9. What was your biggest failure?
Failing to do some overseas travelling.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing serious.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My iPad and second hand MacBook.

Being a godmother.

I very rarely hate anyone but I hate the people who scammed my Dad out of £3250 (half his savings to buy a camper van). I hate them for scamming a 75 year old man and taking away his dream of having his own van and doing travelling in it. Bastards.
24. What was the best book you read?
Probably The House of Silk by Anthony Horowitz (first Sherlock Holmes novel to be approved/commissioned by the estate of Arthur Conan Doyle).
25. What was your greatest musical discovery?
The Correspondents and Peatbog Faeries.
26. What did you want and get?
An iPad.
27. What did you want and not get?
Improvements in my job.
28. What was your favorite film of this year?
The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel....although that's probably only because it's the clearest in my memory.....

I was 45 and went out for a meal with a few friends from work.
30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Being able to use my MRI scanning skills more at work.

The usual....jeans and tops. Hopefully things will be different in 2013......

The PCC elections...simply because a member of the EDL and British Freedom Party was standing in our county. I campaigned against him with Hope not Hate and he didn't get in.
