It's A Grammar Thing....
I just fell a little in love with the Tuvok, the Vulcan chief of security in Star Trek: Voyager. Whilst having trouble transporting one of a pair of duplicated crewmen from the surface of a planet, he said,
"It is Ensign Kim. I mean, one of the Ensigns Kim."
When Anthony Hopkins, as C S Lewis, in Shadowlands, spoke of "two gins and tonic" I fell a little in love with him, too. Grammatical accuracy. I never really considered it would appear in my list of attractive qualities until now.........
