Like Tam, ive taken the first para of the first real post of each month and reposted below, a curious exercise.
January: Too much time or not enough:
I rarely find a balance. Today is so hot that its thrown a spanner in the works. Too hot to do a lot of the things I wanted to get done; the attic is a furnace, my room not a lot better, though I have managed to find floor with a lot of help from both the floor and ceiling fan! If we had a window in the bedroom instead of french doors, we would definately buy an airconditioner.
February: Of course...
Today has been dramatic on many levels. We decided to head into Hyde Park to check out the Gardens in the afternoon. We were met by police road closures, thousands of people in fabulous costumes, music, drum and pavillions. Chinese new year. Thats ok, we can share a big park you say.. no, this is all within 5 meters of the gardens. No way can we have our wedding there.
March: A little tear
About 18 years ago 12 years ago, I left my daughter at a little catholic school in Leichhardt, in the hands of the most delightful teacher; Ms Graham. I shed more than a tear.
April: Catchup
The preparations for the party were possibly the least stressful of any party ive hosted. My wife was a rock.
May: Sads
I dont try to be cryptic, I find straight to the point is better, but sometimes its prudent to leave out names. Especially when its not your story to tell.
June: I dont think so....
Chatting with my lovely owner, I was enquiring about the rent they would be asking when we moved out, for an interested party. I was staggered to hear that it was going up to $600. With respect, the kitchen is below average, the oven and dishwasher need to be replaced. Lots of things dont make this an above average rental property, more a "just below". Great for a young family or share house, that value function and comfort over mod cons and vogue interiors.
July: The end...
He's dead. Bleh.
August: Wrong Prom - Xanadu - Wed Night
Ive got a stack of tickets to the last wrong prom this Wed night, Let's go !
September: Much
Really, sometimes it feels like too much, then of course I look at it all in perspective and its nothing really.
October: please universe
Let me get this job. I want it and I would be very good at it. And, it would be good to earn my worth, it would make me feel good and... valued.
November: Liza - tonight (Monday)
I'm selling my Liza tickets. No big choice really, It's the sensible thing to do.
December: hellfire
The first time my wife sighted me was at hellfire nye when we performed in the phat bottom burlesque troup. She hasn't been back since for no particular reason. Seems wrong really. So I'm overcoming my fears and heading into the frey, please join us? 19th I think. Jules.... Leesa..... Jon....Tish.....Robin.... Ang..... Felix.....
