Strange birds
What a strange thing. A few minutes ago this female robin flew full velocity into the second story window of my office. I went downstairs and outside to she if she'd been killed instantly or was badly injured, and she was sitting on the sidewalk, stunned. She wasn't bleeding and didn't appear to have any broken bones. So I brought her inside and put her into a cardboard box with some towels and water. Hopefully she'll just rest for a few hours and be able to fly off. She was very calm in my hand, obviously in shock, but hopefully she's not more injured than she appears on the outside.
It may not look like it in the photo, but I was barely holding on to her. She wasn't struggling at all, just resting in my hand, with one foot holding onto my finger.
