Summary: Written for blindfold_spn for the prompt: Genevieve is a shy librarian; Danneel is the hot, charming patron she can't stop thinking about. Genevieve knows she shouldn't crush on a patron, but she can't help it--Danneel's got an amazing body and a wicked smile that makes Genevieve think dirty, dirty things. Sometimes she has to get herself off in the bathroom during work because she can't stop thinking about what Danneel could do to her.

“Just lay back, let me drive,” Danneel instructed, pushing Genevieve from sitting to laying back against the couch in her office. Genevieve knew she had bought the three-seater for a reason other than team meetings.

She gave in to Danneel’s request and gave up control, poking her head up to see what Danneel was doing. She was moving down her body, hiking her skirt up and pressing a finger against panties that were getting increasingly wet. Genevieve could see Danneel’s breasts spilling out the top of her bra, exposed from her unbuttoned shirt. She wanted to get her mouth on them, her hands, anything.

“If you want me to go down on you I need you to stop whatever it is you’re planning. Right now.” Danneel smirked and Genevieve let out an involuntary groan at the thought of her tongue on her and obeyed. “Good girl.”

Genevieve felt Danneel’s long (so long) fingers tug at the waistband of her panties. She lifted her hips so Danneel could slide them off and down her legs. Then were was nothing but air in between her clit and Danneel’s face.

“I’ve been thinking about this for so long, ever since I first joined this library,” Danneel said, sinking down between Genevieve’s legs and kissing the inside of her thighs.

“God, me too,” Genevieve moaned, shaking with need as Danneel’s lips made their way closer to their goal. She felt hot breath at her opening, and God, she was so ready for Danneel’s tongue to-

BANG!

Genevieve was pulled out of her fantasy by the door to the ladies restroom banging open. Dammit, always at the good bit!

“Uh, boss?” Jared called out from the doorway. “That book delivery you were waiting on just arrived. Want me to take inventory?”

“Um,” Genevieve tried to collect herself, pulling her hand out of her panties and wiping it on some toilet paper. This was beginning to be a habit. Every Thursday at 3:30pm the hottest patron to ever cross the threshold of her library arrived, and at 4:15pm, Genevieve went for a ‘bathroom break’ to relieve the tension of dealing with someone that hot and that nice. “Let them know I’ll be there in a minute.”

The door swung shut again and Genevieve straightened her clothes, stepping out of the cubicle to wash her face and hands.

“You’re so pathetic,” she told her reflection. “She’s probably straight. She probably has a boyfriend. She’d probably never want to date a boring frumpy librarian.”

With a sad sigh, she took a deep breath and walked back into the library. Genevieve may not be hot or interesting like some of her patrons, but she was a professional.

Well, apart from her weekly bathroom break and crushing on hot patrons, but no one had to know about that.

***

“Hot redhead at nine o’clock,” Jared whispered as he walked past Genevieve with a stack of books to check back in.

“What? Already?” she asked, not even pretending she didn’t know what he was talking about. She’d gone to college with Jared so she’d known him long before she became manager of the library he worked in. He had a way of being able to read her thoughts. Asshole. Luckily for her he never gave her any lip while her other direct reports were around. He always saved it for when they were alone. “It’s only two o’clock.”

Dammit, Genevieve hadn’t had time to reapply her make up or check her hair or any of the things she normally did at three o’clock Thursdays.

“Hey guys,” Danneel greeted as she slipped her books into the returns chute.

“Hey Danneel,” Jared said with a wide smile. Genevieve tried to get the same words to come out but they were caught in her throat. Danneel was wearing the blue wrap dress today. The one that showed off her legs and highlighted the red in her hair and made her boobs look awesome. The dress that Genevieve could imagine slipping her hand under the hem of, pushing it up until her fingers--

“-point me in the right direction?” Genevieve came back to reality with Danneel looking at her hopefully and realized that she hadn’t caught a single word that she’d said.

Jared cleared his throat and stepped in to save her. “I can show you were they are.”

Danneel looked over at Jared with that big gorgeous smile on her face. “That would be awesome.”

She leant against the counter watching one of her best friends walk away with her crush, Jared leading her toward the back stacks, engaging in soft conversation. Sure, Genevieve had been fantasizing about Danneel Harris for months now, but she normally didn’t vague out like that in front of her. Danneel normally arrived at 3:30, and that normally gave Genevieve plenty of time to steel herself and act like a normal human being in charge of their hormones. Today threw her, what with her being early and wearing that dress that if Genevieve just tugged on the side bow it would probably fall open and -

“Thanks, Jared,” Danneel said, approaching the counter and snapping Genevieve out of another x-rated fantasy she normally saved for when Danneel had exited. “You’ll have to come over for a gin and tonic.”

“Don’t tempt me,” Jared said warmly, making his way back to his stack of returns.

“Only if you wanted to hear his deepest, darkest secrets,” Genevieve said before remembering that this wasn’t a social situation, and she shouldn’t be revealing personal stuff about her colleague like this.

“Oh, gin does that to him?” Danneel asked softly. “That’s champagne for me.”

“Me too,” Genevieve smiled, glad that her brain was finally back and working again. She started checking out Danneel’s books; Fantastic Cocktails and Entertaining For Two.

“I have a friend coming over,” Danneel explained. “And I’m going to try and convince him to be my new roommate.”

“What happened to your last one?”

“Her douchebag boyfriend finally proposed and she’s moved in with him,” Danneel rolled her eyes. “Speaking of which.”

“Yeah?” Gen’s breath caught in her throat as Danneel leaned in closer, voice lowered. Could this be it? Could her dreams be coming true right now?

“Is Jared single?”

Genevieve’s heart sank right down to her stomach. Of course she wasn’t that lucky. Of course Danneel would be interested in Jared. Jared with his pretty face and muscles. It fucking sucked, but Genevieve knew how to be the bigger person in these situations. And sure, Jared’s bisexuality had been leaning more towards men of late, but that didn’t mean he was off girls altogether. It tore her heart out, but she wanted her friends to be happy, even if it was at the expense of her own.

“Uh, yeah, actually. He’s not seeing anyone at the moment,” she said, feeling the shards of her heart shatter further with the happy look that swept across Danneel’s face.

That afternoon, Genevieve only went to the bathroom to wipe away the tears.

***

The next Thursday came around too soon for Genevieve, and she pointedly didn’t pay attention to the clock for any reason other than to ensure her staff all took their breaks on time. She made no extra effort to her appearance, tucking her hair up into a loose bun and swapping out her contacts for her glasses.

“Wow,” Jared said. Genevieve looked up to see Danneel walk through the doors with the two books she’d checked out the week before, popping them in the return chute. She looked smoking hot, her hair in a loose ponytail, sleeveless top showing off her toned arms and Capri pants that hugged her in all the right places.

“Yeah,” she sighed. Looked like the feeling was mutual between Danneel and Jared then.

“No, not her,” Jared whispered and she took another look. Danneel wasn’t on her own this time but with a guy. A guy with dark blond hair, green eyes and yeah, okay, Genevieve may be a lesbian but she knew a good looking guy when she saw one. “Who is that?”

“Probably her boyfriend.”

“I’m going to go and find out,” Jared said. She watched as he went up to the two of them and saw Danneel introduce them. Jared smiled and laughed in his library-quiet way and walked with them to another section. Damn Jared and his easy going confident manner.

“Jensen,” Jared said when he returned to the counter. “The future Mr Padalecki’s name is Jensen.”

For a moment, Genevieve felt bad for Danneel. She knew how horrible it felt to have an unreturned crush on someone, and for the crush to fall for your friend, well, that just had to kill.

A half hour later, Danneel came up to the counter to check out her books, looking in the direction of Jared who was leaning over the counter deep in conversation with Jensen. Jensen’s eyes were bright and crinkled in the corners when he laughed.

She thought it must have been hard for Danneel to see that, but when they made eye contact Danneel was smirking in a self-satisfied way.

“I knew they’d hit it off,” she said, nodding her head in their direction. “Jared’s just his type, but not an asshole.”

“Oh?”

“Yeah, when you told me he was single I knew I had to try and get Jensen in here.”

Genevieve tried not to blush at her incorrect assumption and suddenly felt very self-conscious of her appearance. She didn’t look bad or anything, just like the boring librarian she was.

She distracted herself by checking out Danneel’s books for the week; Cutting Down Clutter and, oh Rubyfruit Jungle? She looked up and straight into Danneel’s eyes.

“I’ll see you next week, I guess,” Danneel said. “Oh, and Gen?”

“Yeah?”

“You look really pretty with your hair up like that.”

Genevieve was still trying to catch her breath when Jared fake-swooned into her. “Guess who has a date with the hottest guy alive?”

“Seriously? Already?” Genevieve asked. How could that be fair? She’d been nursing her crush on Danneel for months and Jared had a date after ten minutes?

“Yeah, it’s this new thing all the kids are doing these days. It’s called asking, you should try it some time,” Jared teased.

Genevieve felt her face flush hot. Asshole. “I hope he doesn’t put out for a really long time.”

“Well then I’ll just have a take a bathroom break after every time I see him,” Jared said in a knowing tone, and Gen’s blush went all the way down to her chest.

“You-“ she stuttered, her mouth formed into an O.

“Oh yeah, I said it.” Jared pointed a finger at her before walking off, leaving Genevieve feeling embarrassed and shocked. Danneel was wrong, Jared was an asshole.

***
Weeks passed and Genevieve was no closer to her crush lessening or doing something about it. Danneel and Jared became closer, Jared asking for her advice every time she came in. He and Jensen were still dating and she’d never seen Jared happier.

She noticed a pattern was forming in the books that Danneel was checking out; Tipping the Velvet followed by Fingersmith the next, then Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit, Annie On My Mind and a few by Radclyffe. But Danneel didn’t hint at being interested, so she could only assume that even if she was gay, she wasn’t into her.

One day, Genevieve gave in and asked Jared if Danneel ever spoke about her. Jensen had been the friend Danneel convinced to live with her and Jared spent a lot of time over there.

“No way, if I’m not allowed to speak to her about you, then I’m not speaking to you about her,” he’d told her. It was true, Genevieve had specifically told Jared that he wasn’t to even hint to Danneel about her big fat crush. It didn’t mean it was fair.

***

One Thursday morning, about six weeks after Jared and Jensen started dating, Jared came in late to work looking like death warmed up with a large hickey on his neck.

“Big night?” Genevieve asked with a smirk.

“Danneel is an evil woman and you are not allowed to date her ever,” he said, heading straight to the coffee pot. “She made us these cocktails last night. I don’t know what was in them but Jensen and I both slept through the alarm this morning.”

“Doesn’t look like the night was all bad,” Genevieve grinned, pointing to her neck. Jared grabbed at his.

“Shit,” he said. “I’d forgotten about that. Do you have any concealer?”

Later that afternoon, Danneel came in with a large coffee. “I know I’m not supposed to bring beverages in here, but I figure I owe Jared.”

“Whatever you put in that cocktail laid him out real good.”

“Oh, it got him laid alright,” Danneel said. “Let’s just say that I’m starting to regret hooking up the guy that sleeps in the bedroom directly next to mine.”

Genevieve smiled and took the cup from her, heading into her office where Jared was sitting, going through paperwork and staying away from the general public.

“From Danneel, a peace offering?”

Jared took the proffered cup and inhaled its contents. “Okay, she’s forgiven. You can marry her again.”

Genevieve shook her head a little sadly. “She’s not interested, Jared. It’s just a crush. I’ll get over it.” She left the office before he could say anything and headed back to the counter.

Danneel eventually wandered back to the front desk to check her books out. Genevieve smiled as she approached and placed the book in front of her. She scanned her library card and then looked at the book to find the barcode.

The Joy of Lesbian Sex

Genevieve tried to not hyperventilate at the thought of Danneel reading that book, flicking through it in her car when she gets out of the library, her hand drifting between her legs. She was wearing a short skirt and soft blouse today, which would make it easier for her to be discreet and--

“There you go,” Genevieve smiled and pushed the book toward Danneel before her fantasy got any deeper and she jumped her at the counter.

Danneel looked at her for a beat. “Right,” she said, before walking off.

God, Genevieve needed Sophie to come and cover the front counter for her now so she could escape to the bathroom. She’d been trying to be good, saving the explicit mental images for when she was at home at night, alone, and not in public or an area where she was being paid to do a job.

Suddenly, Danneel was back in her face.

“Okay, I’ve got a confession to make,” she said, a beautiful blush staining her cheeks and her voice with a slight quiver to it.

“A confession?” Genevieve prompted when it appeared Danneel wasn’t going to be saying more.

“Those cocktails I made the boys last night, they were mostly gin. With a bit of soda and a lot of lemon, but mostly just gin.”

“Oh?” Genevieve said. She’d known Jared for years and knew how much he revealed after a few Bombay Sapphires. “Oh.”

“He wouldn’t tell me anything about you other than that you’re shy and good at your job, but I knew that already. And I’ve tried being subtle, and God, now I’ve tried being blatant and I know Jared thinks you’re interested, but if you’re not, can you please let me know right now? Tell me if I don’t have a shot?”

It took a second for Genevieve to absorb everything Danneel just said. She was interested? In Genevieve? She’d tried to get the information out of Jared?

“You? You’re interested in me? You’re the hottest thing I’ve ever seen, I’m just this boring librarian.”

“You’re the sexiest damned librarian on the planet, and if I didn’t think it’d get you fired I’d lay you out on top of that returns cart right now.”

Genevieve’s breathing hitched and she could feel moisture at her palms. Eye contact not leaving Danneel’s, she called Sophie to take over.

“The reference section is this way,” she said to Danneel in her most professional voice, leading her down a hallway and into another room. Encyclopedias and dictionaries lined the walls, with a big study desk sitting in the middle of the room. Genevieve kicked the door closed, feeling impulsive and alive and at the same time wondering if this was all just a really vivid fantasy she was about to wake up from.

“How did you know the room would be abandoned?” Danneel asked, inching closer to her where she was leaning against the door.

“No one uses these anymore since we had the computer terminals installed,” she told her, but the words caught in her throat as Danneel was suddenly there, crowding her space.

“You want this, right?” Danneel asked and Genevieve could feel her breath on her lips. Rather than answer, she tilted her head forward to brush her lips against Danneel’s.

It was good. It was better than good. Danneel’s lips were soft but she kissed with strength and confidence, swiping her tongue across the seam of her lips until she opened up to let her in. It only got better from there, Genevieve could feel the electricity from it down to her toes, letting out an involuntary groan and pulling Danneel closer to her, feeling her body against her own.

“I’ve thought about this,” Genevieve confessed as Danneel started kissing down her neck. “About getting my lips on you, my hands.”

“It’s always the quiet ones,” Danneel smirked, making her way back up to her mouth. “Where did you imagine doing it?”

“Uh, my office mainly,” Genevieve said, pulling the blouse out of Danneel’s skirt and raking her fingers underneath to feel the smooth skin on her back. “Jared’s hiding in there today, though.”

“Well I’ve always thought about pushing you up against the stacks, running my hands up your thighs, fingers pressing against you.”

“God, do it.”

Danneel pulled her from the door and then slammed her back against the books. She could feel some of them digging into her back but she was so far from caring. Every wild and dirty fantasy she’d been having about the hottest patron to ever come through those sliding doors was finally coming true.

Danneel delivered just as promised, kissing her hot and dirty while her fingers trailed under Genevieve’s skirt. Everywhere she touched lit a nerve straight to her clit and she could feel herself getting wet, wanting Danneel’s fingers to hit what they were searching for. Finally, they were tracing the leg of her panties and Genevieve let her legs fall apart wider.

“So fucking sexy,” Danneel whispered as the tip of her finger traced her up and down. Genevieve wanted to be more naked for this, wanted to feel that skin everywhere and all over her.

“Fuck,” she gasped as Danneel’s finger dipped inside her. Danneel was right, out in the open with the scent of books around her and Danneel inside her, this was amazing.

“You’re so wet,” Danneel said, and took her hand out long enough only thrust it back down the waistband of her panties instead. She had a lot more room to move at that angle and Genevieve could feel her everywhere.

“So much better than I could ever have imagined,” she bit out, opening Danneel’s blouse and lifting her own top up so their breasts could rub together.

“I feel like we’ve had four months of foreplay, how about you?” Danneel grinned and Genevieve let out a muffled groan into her shoulder as she slipped inside again, hitting the good spots with every move. Every nerve ending was on fire and Genevieve knew she wasn’t going to last much longer.

“Fuck, right there,” Genevieve told her and felt it build up to the point of explosion. She felt the heat course through her veins from her toes to her belly and she let go. She wanted to scream as it flooded through her, instead holding onto Danneel’s back tighter.

Danneel kissed Genevieve gently as she came down from the high, but Genevieve hadn’t yet had the chance to get her hands on her and wasn’t going to leave the room without that happening.

Without hesitation, she snaked her hand under Danneel’s skirt and down the front of her panties.

“Oh God,” Danneel mumbled. “This will not take long.”

And it didn’t. Within minutes she had Danneel all loose and shaking against her, fingers dripping with her juices, making it easy for Genevieve to slide them along her clit, rubbing and flicking and dipping inside her.

“I want to scream,” Danneel whispered urgently, and Genevieve could almost feel it when she came all over her hand. “Fuck.”

Satisfied she’d gotten Danneel off, she pulled her hand out and wiped it on the back of Danneel’s panties.

“Wow,” she said. “So much better than any fantasy.”

“Next time we’ll have to live yours in your office,” Danneel said, redness staining her cheeks.

“Next time?” Genevieve said hopefully.

“Definitely a next time,” Danneel told her, leaning in for a quick kiss. “In fact, what are you doing tonight?”

“I don’t get off work until seven, but then nothing.”

“I know we’re doing this kinda backwards, but I’m going to kick Jensen out of the apartment tonight if you want to come over. I could cook you dinner?”

Genevieve nodded. She couldn’t believe her luck. Here was the most beautiful perfect woman she’d ever met asking her to dinner and giving her some of the hottest sex she’d ever had.

They buttoned up and straightened their clothes, and Genevieve took one last look to make sure the books weren’t damaged before they walked out of the room.

“So I’ll see you tonight?” Danneel asked softly.

“Definitely.” Genevieve felt a confidence like she hadn’t felt in years.

She went back behind the counter and saw the book sitting on a shelf.

“Oh, Danneel. Your book,” she called.

Danneel turned around. “Maybe you should check that back in. I don’t think I’ll be needing it.”

“No?”

“I’m pretty sure I’m all too aware of the joy it can bring.”

Genevieve grinned. Best Thursday ever.
