I'm actually not a fan of FITB fics. I prefer fics that wander off on some plot. But I'll read FITB if recced enough.

Honestly, I don't know for sure if I'm a fan of reading them so much as writing them. Which makes it a bit confusing for me, honestly :P I'm with you--I want a plot. For writing fics though, it's easiet (and most fun) for me to be in and out. Probably because it's finished, and I feel more accomplished that way.

I'll rec a fun, season five one of mine. Takes place during "Triangle."

I agree on the season seven thing. I've only written one for that though, which is strange, come to think of it, cause there are so many "WTH?" moments in that season that aren't explained :P I'll probably have to revisit that season...

And I almost made ticky boxes for that last one, but then I thought, I want to know which answer would go above all others, and so far, everyone is on the same page on that one :D

I think I would have picked "all of the above" for the last question except that it wasn't an option. There is always so much potentially more that can be explored for any scene or during any episode and I love reading about it. It's fun and can be challenging, too, keeping them canon-friendly.

I needed to know the number one pic for the last question :)

I think my curiosity for "fill in the blanks" was peaked long before I started writing fan fic--all the way back when "The Body" first aired, and the show ends right before Dawn touches her mother. I thought that her keyness or whatever was going to bring her back. Instead, it just stops, and it's a new week or something in "Forever."

I personally love FITB or Missing Scenes myself. Anything that gives me a better understanding of the characters themselves.

As for the last question, I would have chosen all three.

Lately for me, FiTB's have been a utilization of explaining something I can't fully verbalize in an essay or comment. So I do love them for that :D
