One of my new (well, within the last several months) LJ friends enjoys making banners. In fact, the last several times I've had banners on an entry or a fic, were made my buffy_the_vamp6. I'm pimping her now cause she's done so much work for me, and some of it was just for my own entertainment (like the "No plans for Spike" one). Check her out : ( Read more... )

Yes, Miss buffy_the_vamp6 is doing incredibly skillful, well thought out (and pretty!) artwork for us all to enjoy. She's been a real standout in the last few months! Good job pimping her!

Absolutely. I mean seriously, gorgeous stuff. I wish I could lock her in a room to do my banner bidding. Only not :P

I know what you mean. However, she comes up with much better stuff than I could ever bid her to, so there's that. Also, she's amazing about taking requests!

Yeah, the first three up there were requests of mine, so having her on (a hypothetical) call wouldn't be problematic for me--just her, you know, having a normal life, lol. I figure if I ever indefinitely stall out on fic, I could mos def come up with banner ideas all day.

She always does gorgeous work. The LJ banner I'm using now was made by her. These are very nice as well=)

I really love, love, LOVE my Prophecy of a Poet banner. If I could put it on my main page, I so would.

I'm not sure what a GIMP2 program is, but it sounds nasty...I am just...yeah, this is why I don't attempt to make banners. Ever :P It took me long enough to figure out how to make simple icons. I content myself with that, lol.
