Day off at work, hanging out, and "The Long Kiss Goodnight" came on the TV.  If you haven't seen it, I strongly urge you to do so...

Also?  Very much looking forward to this:

Loved the The Long kiss goodnight when it came out. Plenty of cool action scenes. The relationship between Geena and Samuel's characters was my favorite. Also a fun movie where Geena is again in the traditional male role is Cutthroat Island. Long before Jack Sparrow appeared in the Pirates series, Geena already did a female version of Jack. She fucks who she wants to fuck and kills who she wants to kill. Sadly the movie was an utter flop.

<--loves that scene in "Enter the Dragon" :)

Agreed on Sam and Mitch--awesome sauce right there.

Haven't seen "Cutthroat Island," but now I must look into it. Was it a flop in the sense that the story sucked, or a flop as in it just didn't sell cause it was a woman? Cause honestly, TLKG was LEAGUES better than the "Bourne Identity" series, and deserved at least a sequel :(

Hehe, thanks i'm a pretty big Bruce Lee fan.

Well they never really quite came out saying that the movie failed because of the female lead. But it is really noticeable how there isn't a long list of succesful action movies with female leads. Cutthroat island doesn't have a deep story or anything. Just a fun swash buckling action adventure movie which there are a dime a dozen of, only difference with this one is that the lead is a female.

Here's the trailer if you want to check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvzK7dz9qMI

Yeah they already filmed the Bourne trilogy and there is a possible fourth one coming. There has been talk of a TLKG sequel since 2007 but so far nothing has been decided upon so sadly odds are it aint gonna happen.

Seems interesting enough. I don't know--maybe if it came out today, it would have made more money. On the other hand, "The Tourist" (with two big names in it) didn't do very well...

Tangent: Could totally see Jolie playing the role Davis did here in CI.

I hope that...with the success of "Salt", the "Kill Bill" franchise (where a third film is now in the works), and since Samuel L. Jackson has had a megally improved career since then, that they do do a sequel. Especially since most things are reboots, remakes, revisions and added sequels (I'm looking at you, Scream franchise). Also, Davis is 6'0" tall! That's so wickedly awesome.

Srsly, how can there not be a sequel??
