First of all, I had this crazy project going on, with all the time constraint, pressure and scoldings I got.
Life can't get any better.
Which actually a rhetorical statement not a challenge! But then...
I had a serious case of eye(s) infection this past week. At first it’s my right eye, when it gets better then it attacks my left eye… D:<
So, finally I decided to be home and didn’t go to the office for 3 days. While at home, I can’t help but overdosing myself with Korean stuff, majority of it being Teen Top stuff… Don’t ask, don’t even know why.
Aside from overdosing myself with Teen Top, I read lots of fics, many of it being my western fandom fics…
Have to admit, the western fandom has tons of wonderfully written fics, either the Holmes fandom, Teen Wolf fandom, Social Network fandom and even my newest love SUITS fandom (I do love law firm themed drama, :D)!
The things I love about these western fandoms are:
- it’s so easy to find recommendation post. Just google the name of the show plus “fic rec” and you will find it lining. I found the same amount of rec post when I googled “yunjae fic rec” but sometimes it’s so hard to find the other Korean couple rec post;
- and… it is really really well written. Perhaps it’s just a thing I developed but I like reading fics laced with good humor and good sarcasm thrown everywhere. Hahaha… :) LOOOOOVVEEEE.
I found that sometimes Korean fanfics have the same writing type, characterization and general plot (high school times and bullies, arranged marriage etc, and come to think of it so is my first written fic ever LOL the irony). Have to admit (again), that the western fanfics have wonderful words choosing (well, it’s their mothertongue) and well developed unique plot. Just my personal opinion though.
I do hope I can write stories like several of my favorite western writers out there and several other Korean fanfics writers (which wrote my forever favorite stories). HOPEEEEE they will keep motivated to develop my writing skills. Fingers crossed.
Silly Chunji pic to brighten up my day (or even yours)... :D
