Tonight, a friend on mine went out on a date. It just so happens that his date was also male. Someone decided that it was perfectly ok to call them faggots. This same person must have been feeling especially superior when she said, "You faggots are going to hell!" She must have felt extremely proud when they blushed and stopped holding hands. Or maybe when they quickly left the area to get away from her yelling.
(When he called me, my blood ran cold when he said they had "been attacked." Luckily, he only meant verbally.)
Moral of the story? Hate is alive and well.
I just too pissed off/sad to write a rant. Maybe tomorrow.
