And then it was a week
So it's been about a week since I posted.
Last Monday - well you got the message. It snowed here and vanderbolt and I were stuck in it, in traffic, in seperate cars. Lame.
Tuesday - stayed home! Snow day! I took frequent naps, watched TV check my email and worried about not being at work and all that was piling up.
Wednesday - Worked like crazy and packed a bag incase the reported snow in the forcast left me with a second snow day in the week.
Thursday - Woke up feeling like I had been hit by a truck...that is to say sore, achey and tired. Stayed home but worked anyway. Held one phone meeting and one conference call, drafted some stuff and ultimately ended up going to work -- but vanderbolt was kind enough to drive...since we needed to pick up our produce box anyway and I had some reports that needed doing ASAP and could only be done at work.
Friday - My intern blew off coming in. I don't know why yet, it's not like her. I spent the entire day pulling, researching, scrubbing and otherwise fixing up data for a mailing list. Sent it to the printer/mailing house late...haven't heard back from them today -- sad.
Then I went to a friends house. Played the Wii and generally had fun though I'm pretty sure I wasn't as much fun to be around since my brain was friend and I was tired. We watched some DVD's that aren't yet out for public consumption and are D&D in nature. We also ate very yummy pizza.
Saturday - The day of purchasing few by very expensive things!!! We started by seeing if we wanted a friend's Rear Projection HDTV - he was selling it for $400 or so. It's too big, we didn't want it. We meant to go to the grocery store after that...but some how we ended up at Video One and Circuit City. Where we met a LCD HD TV that we fell in love with. It was on crazy sale and then we got a medium level receiver and sound system and finally we purchased the HDMI cable. Had to place an order for the out-of-stock TV but took the rest home. A quick trip to Best Buy to make sure we weren't had...and we were CHRISTMAS'd up! (merry christmas to Matt and Helen from Matt and Helen)So we set up the sound system on our old TV and got all excited about how awesome it sounds.
Sunday - More sleeping and tea drinking and a renewed effort to take my vitamins. Then off to the grocery store. I like grocery shopping! Dinner and more TV watching where we learned that even awesome sound systems can't do much for poorly recorded sound.
