conflict

Super Personal: conflict with my husband is actually great. I hate the conflict part, but I love the way he's so rational that we *have* to talk about everything. One of the best parts of resoving conflicts that we have is gaining insight into the way my husband thinks. I'm frequently amazed and how sophisticated and then at time how utterly mundain his thought processes are.

Professional: conflict at work however sucks. It causes prolonged longterm anxiety and constant need to mull over the various pros and cons of direct human confrontation related to the conflict. I'm always afraid of not being politic and I'm always concerned that I will be accused in some manner of a wrong that I didn't intend or didn't even do. Resolution however is ususally one of two things: swift and generally painless or prolonged and eventually forgotton. The second part is the worst one.

Friends and Family: conflict with friends and family is generally short lived and resloved with direct communication, acceptance, forgivness, sublimation or 'growing apart'. In general I have very few conflicts with friends and family.

International: War sucks. Diplomacy is never really exhausted, even when the misadministration says that it is. I wish the US was a neutral country..ha! that would be so bizarre.

family, conflict, friends, work, politics
