I didn't have time to upload the picture of my D&D Character Sheet....but let's just say that my Half-Orc Barbarian almost died last night. (-4 hp, bleeding out...no magic to heal her -- had to drink 2 healing potions 1d8+1 healing potions to say alive) But hey...that's what you get in a low magic world.

It was, all in all, hella fun.

I had a character go from 84 HP to -10 last gaming session...in one blow. Fully healthy to "I hope one of the NPCs was saving his action" before she could even get in the touch attack she needed to make. (My other character was unconcious, too, but she was only at -4.)

Ain't much you can do to bind someone who's been hit with a Horrid Wilting, either. Except maybe dunk them in water.

(Ah, the downsides of high-magic, mostly artifact-free worlds...)

How did you take 94 points from horrid wilting? Are you a plant or water creature?

Insanely high-level mage, actually. Like, *insanely*, as in posessed by the spirit of a millennia-old frost giant, who on this world were the big magic guns until they pushed the dragons a little too far and got mostly wiped out.

And as a house rule, we generally ignore the max damage limits on spells. :)

w00t! Gaming..alright!

Last game my character was the last one standing in a fight against hobgoblins in a mine. The ugly bastards sundered our lanterns and proceeded to stab us many times in the dark. =(

Hooray for reserve points from Iron Heroes. Nothing like being able to take a full round and recover lost hit points to stay alive.

I think it was karma for intimidating the old shop keeper lady into giving us the info we need. When I ask a question I better get an answer darnit! =P
