Happy New Year! (or St. Paddy's Day)

It's been forever since I've posted here.
Health update for the family:
Matt had more siezures. The first two were at the end of August and then Labor Day. Then a break from them. And then on January 5th he had one and thought another one was coming on early on January 6th so I took him to the ED at Swedish Cherry Hill where his neurologist practices. He had a siezure in the ED but not while on EEG monitoring so...the disorder is still undiagnosed.
Matt has 4 neurological symptoms. 1) shaking hands, since boyhood, hereditary, and on its own, not a concern. 2) Twitching upper body: bit of an extension of #1 but different and happens when he is trying to recall, closing his eyes for sleep, etc. 3) Wooziness: brief 30 second to 2 minute sensations that are not good in his gut and head. He's not light headed, but he does feel tired, distracted by the episode, and often has cold sweat and the urge to use the bathroom after or during the episode. These come in sets of 2-20 over 1-2 days generally every 2 weeks but after the Jan 6 siezure and while on a new medication we got more than a 30 day respite from them before they came back in 2 weeks and now we're building up another seemingly good woozy-free run. 4) Siezures. As noted above. But each has been different. All have happened while lying down and while very tired. But not necessarily a kind of tired we can provoke via sleep deprivation (tried while he was in hospital). Every time he has a siezure we have another 6 months before he can drive a car.

Wade's had her share of stuff too. Nothing serious just bed-wetting, and constipation and pink-eye. All stuff we've delt with, but all stuff that adds to the stress. Oh and the somewhat constant runny nose that comes from being in Daycare.

I was chronically sick with a fatiguing cold that relapsed several times starting in November and really not ending until mid-January sometime. Turns out my iron levels are low and it seems that maybe something in that run triggered me to create kidney stones which I'm now dealing with. Fun Times.

Work updates for the family:
I get paid well to do work that I am pretty good at and like in an environment that is not always healthy but with a good mission driving it forward.

Matt gets paid well to work that he is good at and sometimes likes in an environment that is sometimes healthier and sometimes less healthy than mine and with an underlying mission that seems a bit lost at times.

Wade loves school/daycare. She's been dealing with a rolling pool of changing teachers and that has brought with it some issues, but all of that changes at the end of next week when her two teachers will for the first time be working together.

I'm tired of writing. Maybe I'll write more later. Sooner than last time. We'll see.
