that job I applied for. The posting stank of being custom written for a specific individual and, in fact, it was. Despite resumes and cover letters being DUE by today - the entire 'community' of my HS alma mater received an update today that announced the name of the person who got the job. She's got fine credentials but from a different angle and type of experience than I do. What she has is a lot of great relationships. It's a bonus that they hired a woman. My HS alma mater was an all boys school for a long time and they still carry that 'boys club' thing a lot.

Anyway, I'm not moving to MI - and many among you here will be glad to know that!
