[There is a a rustle of skirts, and then a soft yawn. Merry fumbles around for a moment.]

I'm crying... How strange, it wasn't even a sad--

[And then silence. There isn't even the sound of her breathing.]

Brother?

[The call comes quietly, barely even whispered. No. No no no no no-- had he left without saying goodbye? He wouldn't do that to her, would he? He wouldn't-- not Cain! She seems to scramble to get her bearings, her little heels click clacking loudly as she looks around her and finds that...nobody is there. Not even Oscar. And this place wasn't even London, let alone the train they had been on last she'd known. Merry's breath hitches as this sinks in.]

Where am I? Where did everyone go? Where did the train go?

[A feeling of dread almost settles into her stomach. But...no, she wasn't alone-- up ahead there was a...a carousel, it looked like. And voices. And if there were people, she could at least ask where she was. Yes, and directions that she could take to get back to the train station. She takes in a breath. That's right. Everything was alright. She was a big girl.]

If you two think this was a funny practical joke to play on me right now...

[Especially when things were so urgent and serious... If they thought this was funny, they were dead wrong. Slightly calmed now that she has a goal in mind, she dusts off her dress, muttering under her breath.]

When I find you two, I'm going to yell at you so loud you won't be able to hear from your ears until next week...

[Her heeled shoes quickly walk away from her communicator. She hadn't even realized it was there on the ground beside her.]
