Some good stuff:
Whilst at my mom's house this weekend, she had me doing the Going-through-stuff-that-never-ends. Usually, this means that she asks me to go through something that I went through last time, only to say, again, "You can turf all this stuff". This time, though, she found something that I thought was lost. My grandmother's mystic cubes. We called them her runes, but I guess they're not, really. Still, they're 5 cubes that help you read your day (behavior, avoidance, charm, number, and colour) and they have a little book that you can use to help you try to read them. My Polish grandmother had the gift of sight, but she didn't really see it as a gift, so she never practised or exercised it. But then we found these cubes. I never saw her using them, an the date on the little guidebook thingie is mid 70's. But, she kept them, in their pentacle-bbranded suede bag. I've tried to do my own readings before, but I could never get them to say something coherent to me. I'm going to try again.
Item the second: it's 21 days until we leave for Disney. I"m just about ready to count the hours I'm so desparate for a carefree vacation.
Item the third: Birthday parties for 1 year olds are fun. Even if the 1 year old won't remember the clown or the shenanigans.
Some crappy stuff:
I went to pick up a perscription today, and what I was expecting to be the $4.00 (2 each for 2 perscriptions) was actually $50. We've apparently changed from 100% drug cost and $5.00 druggist fee to some odd formula of co-pay. It'd be nice if your benefits company told you this stuff. I'm going to call them to make sure that this is accurate before I get all hostile about it. After all, my Behaviour runes say to use caution before acting (maybe there is somethign to this...)
I'm so annoyed at my husband that I came into work today. I'd rather be alone at work than ignored at home. But I also didn't tell him I was coming into work today. He's been doing that sleeping in until 11:00 thing, then watching a few hours of TV, then taking a shower and doing an hours worth of puttering, then barking at MC about MC watching reruns of cartoons for an hour, then after supper, watching 6 or 7 more hours of TV before bed. When I called him on it, he said "I did stuff yesterday, that doesn't count for anything?" And I said" I worked for 8 hours yesterday, then I went grocery shopping for a few hours, and then I managed to work 8 more hours today. So no, what you did yesterday doesn't count for what you didn't do today."
Please, employment ghods, find that man something to do before I bludgeon him (the number rune says that I'll have a conflict between conscience and passion today - that's gotta be about whether to clock him with a frying pan or not...)
