my craft centre
Originally uploaded by ms_lilith. I took my camera out to play on my way home from work on Friday night. I've been meaning to take more manchester pics since I moved here and finally the sun came out. No really, I'm inspired by playing with flickr which I haven't looked at for a while. I met Dan at the Jesuit thing and he has absolutely stunning pictures in his photostream. I'm not pointing this out because there are some lovely shots of beautiful things, although there are. When I say stunning, what I love about this collection are the pics of things that have have been made beautiful by the act of bothering to frame them. Like this shot on the tube and this of Selfridges and this and (don't laugh at me but I said wow out loud) at this. And I guess you get what I'm saying by now so one last one before I stop

So I've put most of my flickr pics on the map function which I don't remember it having before. Took me a while to work out the locations of the photos me and Liam took of Bazza's Manchester tour but I got there in the end with help of Google. The people in my Manchester group have some great shots. This is great, watch the youtube too, the noise is eerie. I do recommend flickr for relaxing timewasting. You can open a photostream as a slideshow and leave it running in the corner of your screen while you do something else.

Slightly more technical is www.geograph.org.uk but which I also like. The mapping thing is much better than flickr's map. I might get my scanner out and play with it more. I added Moseley park and the ruined castle in Wales Liam took us to. They already had pics of those so no glory for me. I added the chapel in Glastonbury but shall have to try harder to get another geograph point. I am slightly put out that somone has had the audacity to beat me to cover the square with my school in. It's bad enough I had to go there, I cant even get the glory of having a picture of something so damn ugly.

And one to make Liam cry cos I'm mean like that.
