♠ Well, I know I've been terribly absent. RL has been kicking my ass, and I've actually been trying to be productive. However, I'm come down with some heinous cold so instead of going to uni I'm curled up watching Hawaii Five-0.
♠ Also, much as I have been out of fandom of late, I have a new obsession. A Game of Thrones. And, more specifically, Daenerys Targaryen. Because she is awesome. Awesome. Of course, the rest of the show is phenomenally good as well. I'm enjoying it immensely because, much as it lacks the depth and detail of the books, it's doing a very good job of dealing with all of the dynastic machinations.
♠ Ok, so, Daenerys. Seriously, never thought I would enjoy a scene involving someone eating a horse's heart, but hey. It's Daenerys. She's badass. I find her intriguing because she hasn't succumbed to either the 'girlish and vapid' princess trope of the 'warrior princess of hardcore' trope. She's still feminine, and she's still obviously often unsure and out of her depth, but at the same time she's an incredibly strong person. *fangirls*
♠ I know that everything is going to end terribly, terribly badly, but I still can't help being intrigued by the characters. Tyrion and Jaime are both just brilliant. Brilliant. Jaime is the perfect combination of charismatic and evil, while Tyrion is just perfect. I dislike Cersei as much as I disliked her in the books. Sansa annoys me, but I think she's portrayed very well. I'm just waiting for the bloodbath to start. I know it's coming. Also, I would totally ship Jon/Jaime SO WRONG SO WRONG SO WRONG.

It saddens me that Viserys is such a douche that I can't even find him attractive.
