Update
Hey lovelies, in case anyone was wondering I got out of surgery about 18 hours ago and should be heading home this morning (I had to stay overnight so they could wake me hourly to check I was still breathing/my heart was still beating/my blood pressure was ok). Touchwood, everything is ok. I'm in a fair bit of pain (probably unsurprisingly), but I woke up hungry and am painstakingly making my way through a muffin, which I figure can only be a good thing.
Thanks to everyone who sent their best wishes! I tell you what, going under general anesthetic was a really trippy experience.
Hope all is well with you guys! I was half listening to the news on Japan last night and it is just so horrible. I dreamt about my own time there and how beautiful and peaceful it was. Such a tragedy. Hope any friends/family of yours over there are ok.
