♠ Katy Perry and Russel Brand? Wot? DAMN YOU KATY PERRY. DAMN YOU. RUSSEL, WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME? I LOVE YOU! FINE THEN. I NEVER WANTED YOU ANYWAY. *hair toss*

♠ Devil May Cry 4 owns my fangirl soul at the moment. It is AMAZING. And I totally don't ever check the online walkthroughs when I get stuck. I fail a bit a secret missions, and I'm still not all that good, but it's phenomenally good fun. The Dante/Nero is also getting a bit out of hand. I can't help my perverted fangirl mind. There is just too much eye contact/phallic symbolism/discussion of cooling down or getting hot/sardonic provocation. Then it will go all meaningful and so I'll swing between 'OMG HOT' and 'Naaaaaaaw'. But yes. Game rocks. Dante rocks. Nero rocks. Kyrie...well. Look, I know I hate all female characters on principle, but OMG ENOUGH WITH THE WHOLE *GASP* 'IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK' 'HOW COULD YOU?' SCENE. IF YOU REALLY LOVE/TRUST HIM, YOU WOULDN'T BE JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS NOW WOULD YOU? OR MAYBE I'M UNREASONABLE BECAUSE I'M JEALOUS.

butterflygirl_3 and I had way too much fun rambling about Final Fantasy VII the other day. It's made more entertaining by the fact neither of us have played the game, so everything we know comes from AC and from fandom. So we don't take ourselves too seriously. If you are a canon fanatic, I wouldn't click the cut. Don't do it. Don't. We decided that:
Cloud would wake up, get straight out of bed, do 500 press ups, 500 chin ups, 500 sit ups, and that would only be before breakfast. :p After breakfast, the real work out would begin. Any stumble while performing sword drills would be punished with additional sets of press ups. And plenty of self flagellation. Then some guilt. And more self flagellation. And more guilt. And some sweat. Lots of sweat. Reno sells tickets so people can covertly watch him work out. Come on! You know that boy is massively built! He has to do some serious work to be able to swing that sword, surely.
Tseng's alarm clock would go off at 6am. He would get up and put work out clothes on. He would then follow his specific morning routine, down to the second, shower, change into his immaculate suit (laid out the night before) and then have his morning protein shake (then wash the blender, replace it in its cupboard, wipe down the bench etc.
Rude would unplug himself from the wall and emerge, looking the same as he does every day.
Reno would stumble out of bed, sexy and dishevelled, and haul ass into the shower. While Cloud was doing press ups, Reno would be devoting the time to styling his hair. He'd then open the pantry, peer in, swear, do the same to the fridge, and find the leftovers from last nights take out.

Ok, that may have been funnier at the time. :p We had no idea what the ShinRa building looked like, or anything else, so it just evolved in our mind. :p We also know that really, Reno has lots of angst and a lot of issues and is a very complex character, but hey. Sometimes a girl just wants to make shit up about bombshell redheads causing chaos at the office.

We then spent some time cackling about how Reno entertains himself during the day. Games include 'what can you shred?' 'what can you microwave?' 'what fits inside what?' and 'what would Tseng do if...?' We decided that Reno would often get bored at work, and turn into the equivalent of one of those small, energetic, happily destructive children. And that he would have eventually been banned from the staff kitchen, and from using any office stationary.

The shredder, it seems, will be defeated by 100% silk shirts. The microwave was conquered by one of Tseng's protein shakes. Rufus will never forget the time he printed ShinRa board minutes on the back of one of Reno's photocopying experiments by accident - he had to keep them very firmly on the table to avoid catastrophe. There's an entire section of the budget devoted to dealing with the carnage Reno causes purely by walking down corridors looking like sex on particularly nice legs. The entire staff population likes to watch Reno arrive at work and walk across the foyer - the one time he dropped something and bent over a secretary let go of a trolley of files at the top of a staircase.

Yeah, we love our crack. We really do.

Rounds of 'What Would Tseng Do If I...' involved...
'...if I log on to his email and send Rufus love letters, explicit email sex type letters.
'...if I paper his office with pamphlets about accepting your sexuality and gay sex tips and an extra special one he had to send off for about *pleasing* the boss and making office relationships work.'
'...if I tell the new recruits that one of the perks is eatching he and Rufus eyefuck. Loudly across the foyer when I have everyone's attention. And that if I like them I'll let them into the security room so they can watch them actually fuck. And then I flirt with them and get too close on purpose and keep a tally of how many office tasks they screw up afterwards.'
'...if I video loop surveillance footage of Tseng showering through all monitors...and billboards, and provide my own lewd commentary.'
'...if I park the helicopter outside my favourite fast food joint...or strip club, and use the ShinRa platinum card to leave big tips for my fav boys and girls in Rufus and his names.'
'...if I set of the fire sprinklers 'accidentally' by putting his protein shakes in the microwave.'
'...if I do suggestive things with humble stationary items during mettings/when he and Rufus are in the vicinity.'
'...if I hook up the PA to play '3' by Britney Spears everytime he or Rufus walks out of their office or through the main door.'
'...if I proposition both he and Rufus through the daily staff bulletin.'
'...if I take the staplers out of every stapler in the building...and put them in the oven.'
'...if I set up a strip club in the foyer with myself headlining ('Am I distracting you? I'll stop...')'

♠ Read a chapter of Wild Adapter by Kazuya Minekura last night, and I really liked it. It comes across as being a lot darker in tone than Saiyuki, but it's good. With Saiyuko, I always feel that despite the angst/darkness, there's always that element of 'we're going to save the world' which makes it a little more...uplifitng? WA seemed to be less with the humour/inspiration and more with the darkness. But I dig that. I've only read one chapter, so I'll get back to you.
