Whoosh!

Well, that week disappeared like a .
Mon & Tues I had early start at work - and by early I mean 8.45 am tee hee.
Tuesday night I headed out to sewing. I knew I would have a nice time once I got there, but actually leaving my warm house was hard. I made a start on sewing my new green wool dress and played with Little Flower. A very pleasant evening among friends. Wednesday night was community centre, then Thursday night I was invited to an industry 'do'. I had a chance to chat with a couple of other women from the office in a social setting. They assured me my contract would be renewed for another 6 months as a matter of course. So I am comfortable to say that I will be with the ATO until next June. I made it known that if a permanent role came up I'd apply for it. I don't know if either of them have any influence in the upper eschelones, but I figure it can't hurt.
Yesterday was VERY hard to get out of bed  and into the office. My annoying desk neighbour called in sick so at least I didn't have to deal with his uniqueness. I pottered around, did just enough to not feel as though I was a fraud, and spent enough time chatting, doing the crossword, reading the web etc to feel like I wasn't really working. I have avoided LJ from work for various reasons, including that the Commissioner (apparently) logs each and every site I visit, and the fact I might lose a whole afternoon reading LJ.
Last night SammyHubby and I went to the Irish Pub, as is becoming our habit, for a pint and some music. Then we started watching 'Dead Like Me' on DVD (ironically, loaned to me by annoying desk neighbour).

Today Sam is at work and I am supposed to be doing my share of the housework. I'll get there in a minute. After I check Bebo, write my first Hospitaller's report, email my household...maybe I should do a litte housework first before I got lost in the interwebs.

Tomorrow we might go to the Melbourne Victory Fan's Day and/or a meal and a pint at the James Squire Brewhouse at Docklands.
