Finally!

After calling dibs on going through all my "to donate" fabric, Sis and Niece will be here Friday (if I haven't just jinxed it by typing it). But I've still been busy going through other things. I tackled the office today and realized besides my 2 computers and peripherals, the room looks like the Island of Misfit Tech Toys.

Still good, still works: A VHS player, DVD player, 2 printers - one for HUGE photos and one that's a FAX/Copier/Printer that Dad didn't want immediately after he bought it. But wait, there's more; 2 Tuners - guess they're called Receivers, 2 speakers, and an older flatbed scanner. Will I ever use any of this? Who knows? I'm committed to get what I have in the living room all hooked up - a turntable, receiver, and sound bar. I may have to plead with a friend from high school who's a puter-tech to come help me. I'm sure she knows way much more now than I do. Of course there's still the original PlayStation and Nintendo, both with games but I'll try and get niece to take one or both for her kids.

I cleaned out everything borked: A monitor, a small receiver that played CDs, cassettes and radio (hence the 2 perfectly good speakers), a small portable DVD player in a pleather case that's wired (?), and an older Technics turntable found in the bottom of one of Al's boxes. I filled a grocery sack full of old computer games, some supposedly worth a bit, but I have zero time to try to sell them - priorities people!

Otherwise the only other thing is a Keurig coffee by the cup maker also immediately abandoned by Dad that I will most likely use once the carafe breaks on the drip maker I'm using now.

So the office looks a little more organized. And will be done once I get through a couple of boxes of old records and general paperwork. What will I do when my office is actually tidy? I'm sure I'll think of something...like move all the furniture around...or paint...or get busy with projects in the sewing room. Don't take any bets, k?

Oh yes, and I'm going to volunteer Sis and Niece to help me get a curtain rod up in the living room while they're here. It takes two sets of hands and one to eyeball for levelness, otherwise it takes me forever to do it alone.
