Maintaining femininity
I just saw a news piece on Paris Hilton that lead into a piece on women's prisons. Now, instead of talking about important things, they talked about how these women were deprived of makeup, and how they make it from food items (chocolate for eyeshadow, etc). Okay, so as if this isn't bad enough, the reporter says, as a closer, "These women are just trying to maintain their femininity." Excuse me? Women can't be feminine without makeup? WTF? The whole piece was just sickening.
