the weekend from hell

I thought this weekend was going to be rejuvenating. I thought that while Melissa was in Los Angeles I could recharge my batteries and come out of it a stronger person again. (Yes I say again because I was strong before but had lost this strength in the last month or so.) I was wrong however. I had a really rough weekend. Before Melissa left we had our cable shut off, yes we are officially ghetto. I thought to myself, "Great! Now I can get caught up on my books. I can paint. I can do all of the things that I have been dying to do, but have been distracted by pop television." This was not the case.

Because of my work I've been going and going non stop all day. I barely have time to breathe. So I've been conditioned to expect this kind of craziness. This weekend while having no cable, no internet and no attention span basically - SUCKED ARSE. I did manage to get 4 hours done on the tattoo. The koi is now completely colored - red, white and black. Jeff also added the pagoda which is just fantastic. I'm glad I had that to do on Friday night because otherwise I would have gone home and twiddled my thumbs.

Saturday I was awake by 8:00am and managed to go for a morning walk. I walked down to the end of Broadway and back, grabbing a coffee from Vivace and a paper. I was hoping to find something fantastic to do. No such luck. So the rest of the day I watched movies, The Rules of Attraction, High Fidelity, The Order and Prey for Rock & Roll. Then the rest of the evening was filled with episodes of Xena - Season 5. lol

Sunday I got up around 1:15pm. Thank God for sleep. I watched more Xena and then decided to go for another walk. I had a nice cigarette, walked to the news stand and got a tattoo magazine, then had lunch at The Noodle House (yummy tai food), and went home. I attempted reading, and got through almost the entire last quarter of The Art of Happiness, and then just got fed up with the whole thing. I was supposed to go hang out with Ron and his girlfriend Melissa at their new house, but I just didn't feel up to it. I wasn't in the best of moods and didn't really want to be around anyone. Shocker I know. I missed Melissa and I wanted her to be home. Thank God she's coming home tonight.

I slept out in the living room last night because it was so bloody hot! I woke up around 5:40am and just laid there thinking how beautiful it was outside that early. It reminded me of camping. ;) I miss camping.
