That is a lot of books, wow! :D

Of your favorites, I've read the Sherman Alexie (a long time ago, but I remember really liking it) and Long Way to a Small Angry Planet (just a few months ago), which I found interesting but frustrating. I can't remember if we've talked about it, though... It's not on my LJ if we have, but I thought we had a conversation? O.o

I don't remember having a convo about A Long Way to a Short angry Small Angry :-D Planet. I think you read it after I did? I was pretty bad about picking up all my flist posts last year (and this year). I must've missed it.

We talked about The Watchmaker of Filigree Street. Maybe that's what you're thinking of?

I did read it after you did, yeah -- Small Angry Planet post is here :)

I remember our Watchmaker discussion... but I feel like this other thing I'm remembering is a different one. Oh well, it clearly didn't actually happen (yet)

I have invoked some TIME TRAVEL in the comments, apparently. ;-D The only other long-ish book convos I can think of that we've had was about War of the Oaks and Seanan McGuire ( ... )

Goodreads also has this summary, that might only be visible to people logged into GR. I noticed it no longer says that I read 94 books like it did earlier.
https://www.goodreads.com/user/year_in_books/2016/16732062

Just a roundup:

93 books; 31,116 pages

-Shortest book (36 pages): Princess and the Pony by Kate Beaton
-Longest book (640 pages): The Weaker Vessel by Antonia Fraser

Average length: 335 pages

-Most popular (556,068 people also read): The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman
-Least popular (64 people also read): The Watcher's Daughter
by C.J. Flynn [this was an indie/self-published book, so that's not surprising]

Average rating for 2016: 3.6 (I'm being too nice!)

Highest rated book that I read on Goodreads (4.39 avg): The Raven and the Reindeer by T. Kingfisher

I thought i was going it at a pace but yours is impressive. I have yet to read that Margaret Atwood book. Have you read her Blind Assassin book?

I won't get close to the same totals for this year.

I haven't read Blind Assassin, but I've read The Robber Bride, The Penelopiad, and of course, The Handmaid's Tale. The Heart Goes Last is pretty light-hearted compared to her other dystopias.

Hey, I actually just finished reading Borderline on your recommendation and I thought it was great! And I definitely wouldn't have heard of it if you hadn't sent me a Goodreads rec, so thank you!

I loved Crosstalk too (just read that recently as well), and love The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian too.

I'm glad you liked it! :-) I forgot I had sent you Borderline as a rec on GR. XD

Crosstalk had some problems, but I think at this point, it will be hard for me not to give a new Connie Willis book 5 stars. I'm just glad that she's still writing, haha.
