I almost gave up some music AGAIN D-: due to some stuff I'm trying to work through/deal with since it's not going away easily, but nope, won't be doing that! Irish jigs are actually excellent for getting stuff done. I couldn't exercise to this, though - would probably fall over eventually, lol. Sea shanties, marches...I guess I'm coming up with

Short answer is...this is me overwhelmed and trying to cope. I've realized a ton of things in the past 2 months, I guess? Also, I am trying to cut down on caffeine/sugar and it has been pretty rough. I was using that for stress management, in a way. (Caffeine is NOT good for that at ALL, haha.) Hasn't been good for me physically and emotionally.
You may not realize/know, but I've been fairly sick for almost the whole time I've been on LJ. I guess I'm a decent faker? XD Way to go, me! ;-P
But, a bit of background (I really haven't laid out everything in one place and I actually realized some more stuff about myself/my situation this morning):

Basically, I am trying to "graduate" from being depressed? ;-) Thankfully the weather here is good right now...I don't think I could've done this properly with the crappy winter we've had (which was *nothing* compared to what you get). Still sucked, though!
But the music thing was trying to "remove" painful memories kinda associated with certain people, I guess? That is certainly not the way to go. At least for me. Also, earworms (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earworm) have been *killing* me, haha. I think I'm gonna have to listen to plain classical music for several months in general, perhaps.

And trying to cut down on caffeine at the same time, maaan - that's some willpower right there! Best of luck! *shakes pompoms* At least the weather works in your favour, I'm glad for you:) (glares angrily into the window).
My own bond with music is really passive and not that emotion-heavy so that I could give any useful advice on music therapy. Try switching to pleasant things like bubble baths or white-noise-ish things like zen birds chirping? *scratches head* My support is with you anyway! Many hugs!
