[Well the target is very, very large. Hitting the End with any ranged weapon is possible, even for beginners. Xanth would have to be aiming in the opposite direction to miss, really.

[Xanth pauses a moment to take in Siran's words. It's all true. He might not trust Redd or like him or any of the crew, but this isn't about them. This is about everyone else.
