The Violin Player: Preface

Nov 28, 2008 11:32

I stood in front of the crowd and held the bow up to the strings. I closed my eyes as I played. First softly and then fast. My hair fell over my face as I played. I didn't care. All I cared about was the violin. The violin is my life. I've been playing ever since I was five years old. My parents don't like the violin. They'd rather play their guitars and bass guitars and drums. They always make fun of me because I'm so different from them. They think that classical music is strange while I think rock music is strange. I guess I was born different. At school I don't have any friends because I'm the new kid. They see how I dress and carry myself and think that I'm from another century. I love Shakespere and wish I was born in his time. Maybe that's why that don't like me. Because I don't belong in this century. Oh I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Lilly and this is my story. The story of the violin player.
