happiestsadist, among others, has pointed me to
yet another atrocious Kickstarter project.
Note the hero’s last name. In case it doesn’t ring any bells,
here you go.
Here's a rant from someone else who would rather not be identified:So, this dipshit of an “author” clearly “borrowed” the idea of flipping the current majority/minority ratio from that godawful
Save the Pearls book, only instead of using race, she’s got the idea for a book that queers are the majority and actively oppress straight people.
Excuse the fuck out of me?
In a world where it’s perfectly a-okay to murder LGBTQ people in certain countries, you want to fucking make a mockery of the way people like me are treated, just so you can write a heterosexual love story?
That isn’t a story that needs to be written. If you want to write a boy/girl love story, go right ahead, but don’t you fucking dare trivialize what LGBTQ people endure all over the world every day just so you can make a buck. My life is not a game. I’ve had it much easier than any of the other queer people who came before me and fought to make my world the way it is now, but I’ve still experienced pain and discrimination and fear because of who I am.
What I am not is a fucking plot device.
Go take a look at
her Facebook page. Her defense for this fucking travesty of a novel is that her son is gay and that she works with LGBTQ youth and they don’t have a problem with it.
Yeah, guess what, teenagers aren’t exactly firing on the full cylinders you find in an adult brain, and you’re their role model and an authority figure to whom they look up. Of course they aren’t going to see anything wrong with it, you fucking asshole. Goddamn it.
She also claims that having said gay son and working with said youth gives her "firsthand knowledge". NO, NO IT FUCKING DOESN'T, YOU FUCKING LYING, DECEITFUL FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT.
Laura Preble
can't figure out why her project is attracting "haters." Derp.
Unlocked.
