Last month, a Philly cop shot himself intentionally in the shoulder, then blamed an imaginary black man. He finally confessed on Tuesday.
The commissioner said that Ralston, who is white, told police his attackers were black because the district where the shooting took place is predominately black.

Wow what a bunch of characters in here. A beat down never looks good now does it, But other than some swelling and some missing hair does the poor fiddle player have any real injuries? People get this messed up from falling down a few stairs. Only those officers and young man- who was referred to as a "boy" by one big-shot in one of the "poor me" groups, know what happened that night. And the young man's belief he was about to be abducted? He might be a great fiddler but whoah there... is he having some super-duper genetic flashback or what? The only white men in that urban blight are cops and junkies. His being from the neighborhood I'm sure he knew what was going down. Or maybe he thinks he is beyond giving police the respect they warrant when they say "Stop! Police don't move! This department just lost three officers in one day less than a year ago. They want to go home to there wives and kids like any one else. If they screwed up thats one thing but this politically-correct lynch mob that has made up it's mind and will force the lilly-livered bureacrats to ruin the lives of these officers and their families just so they don't appear racist and can't be re-elected or prompt the social misfits (and true racists) out there to pull another riot like after the Rodney King rulings. Can't we just get along?
