My friends and I made a date to get together. We decided we were going to eat pizza and watch a movie. I suggested Wimbledon. My one friend vetoed it, saying that she wanted to see a stupid comedy. In my mind I objected to the fact that she specifically wanted to see a "stupid" movie. I don't watch movies that I think are stupid. But I didn't argue. After a burst of inspiration, I suggested Shaolin Soccer and it was agreed upon. My two friends and I thought it was weird and hilarious. We were cracking up the whole time. My other friend said the movie was stupid, and mostly looked at a catalogue instead of watching. I was a little angry about this. If she claims she *wants* to see a stupid movie, and then declares the movie stupid, doesn't that mean it's a good thing? Doesn't that mean she got exactly what she wanted? This girl has no sense of humor.
On a lighter note: I absolutely recommend Shaolin Soccer and can't wait to see Kung-Fu Hustle.
