I was looking forward to the movie version of August: Osage County because I'd heard so many good things about the play. Just finished reading the play. What a disappointment. Not sure there was an original thought anywhere in it. Nor was it particularly well done. Yeah, it'll be Oscar bait for Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts, but it's not a story that hasn't been told a million times before in a million better ways.
