Mate Debate: Fact checking
Fred Thompson has just debunked a handful of Biden's comments about McCain and about Biden himself:
1. McC did support Clinton about Bosnia and he also strong-armed Thompson to do the same.
2. Biden was adamantly opposed to coal in the US.
From other sources.... Biden goofs:
1. The Vice President does have a legislative role, and the VP doesn't just preside over the Senate in case of a tie. The VP only votes in case of a tie, but voting isn't the same as presiding.
2. Spending in Afghanistan versus Iraq. He's off by about 2000%. Plus his time comparisons is a little more than screwy.
3. Article I of the Constitution deals with the legislative branch, not the executive.

Added: Hezbollah was not kicked out of Lebanon and NATO has yet to fulfill their troop commitment there.
