After a little bit of searching around - it was too hidden in my opinion, I finally found a link that can be used to access a mobile version of LJ: http://www.livejournal.com/mobile/. It's graphics free and loads as fast as your mobile internet browser service will allow.
It only has post and read friends functions but what else does one need....programming on the fly??? I think not!
Now, I just need to get my extra batteries in the mail. :D
