This weekend was really fun. It is still exciting. Friday morning we drove from South Carolina to Washington D.C. to spend the night with Sharnequa at her apartment. First we went to dinner at District ChopHouse and Brewery. It was my Dad, Uncle Charlie, Sharnequa and myself. On the way to dinner Uncle Charlie got a little winded and we had to catch a cab. It was only 2 blocks away. Dad tipped the cab driver $15.00. He was a nice guy from Africa. He said he has been in the DC area for 20 years. We had to wait a little while for dinner. I ordered a prime rib steak. Dinner was expensive even though we all got water and only Dad got a salad. Dad and I both ordered the same entree and Shar and Uncle Charlie both got fish. We enjoyed ourselves at dinner and the hostess was very nice. She was Asian. After dinner, i grabbed a few candies that were on display and took a business card. Dad left his wallet and the waitress brought it out to us. Sharnequa and I decided to go to the movies. We walked to the theater but nothing was playing at that time. We went to the bowling alley but it was $65.00 an hour and a 15 minute wait. So we left. We went to Bed, Bath and Beyond and bought travel size lotion. Sharnequa paid for me even they I only got 2 items that cost less than $3.00. I have not bought anything all weekend. We then decided to walk towards her apartment. We stopped at a local Starbucks. Earlier I registered my new Starbucks card. I read on several things that if I register then I get a free drink. I swiped my card but I do not know if I got the free drink. I recently put $20.00 on a Starbucks card. I ordered a grande White Chocolate Mocha. Sharnequa ordered a Chai Tea Latte. We drank at the restaurant and talked about my trip to the nail salon. We talked about nail salons and her visits as well. We then continued to her apartment. We talked about different things. At the aparment Uncle Charlie and my dad were already in bed with the lights off. I got ready for bed not too much later. I slept on the sleeper sofa and Uncle Charlie slept on the air mattress that Shar borrowed from Selma and Dad slept on the one we bought for Shar from Target. I picked out some black sheets to go with it.
The next morning Shar cooked breakfast! She cooked grits and eggs with turkey bacon. We had orange juice to drink. We got dressed to leave and headed to Philly for Aunt Liz and Aunt Ernestine's birthday party.
