so many photos to post.

for starters, I've got some pics from the new 24-70 2.8L lens that I got. I haven't spent much time with it yet, but it's pretty sweet as it is. I'm a little worried about it's telephoto reach; I'm not sure if it will be sufficient for when I shoot the prom. and the fact that I spent almost a grand on it is also kinda weird. I was going to trade in the 100 2.8 macro that I rarely use, but I could only get $150 for it (even though I bought it new for $550 and it's in PERFECT condition) so I just kept it and bought the 24-70 used (which was still $980).

before this past wednesday, I hadn't taken pictures with my canon since january 18th (and it was just a few snapshots that I never put up on flickr... the last time I actually posted stuff was back from when I saw sarah akers the weekend of jan 13th). and that's ridiculous.

then last saturday I went out for awhile and used up a roll of slides.
I think it was fuji sensia 100 if anyone wants to know.
there's a flickrset for all of the shots from the roll.

and finally, from this past tuesday with cameron and kelli. it was a roll of xprocessed provia 400, and are probably some of my favourite cross-processed shots to date. The scanner was having trouble aligning the frames though, which explains the black lines on the sides of some of these. such a shame; I might re-scan sometime. We went through a bunch of polaroids too, and eventually I'm going to scan all of the polaroids that I've been taking with everybody.

See the rest / see them large in this flickrset.

now for a few quick things:

watch this video.
I'm pretty sure you'll get a good laugh out of it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MICHELE!
ya, it's late.
i hope you had a lovely day, if you get to reading this :)

And HAPPY (early) BIRTHDAY TO AYO!
have a good one, if I dont get to you!

As for myself, I'm doing alright. I'm a little stressed, kind of overwhelmed with things, and rather exhausted. I'm really really terrible with managing my time... I'd like to do something about that eventually hahaha.

Also, I think I'm finally finding myself having a bit of buyer's remourse with the 5D. Like... considering what I do with my photos... do I need this much of a camera? It's beautiful to be able to have such a film-like experience (big + bright viewfinder is the thing I love the most), but there are some other cameras out there that are pretty damn good for thousands less. And 4 or 5 FPS shooting seems kind of fun (although I've certainly never shot faster than a single frame per second with my nikon, and the results from that are still pretty good!), and perhaps I could use the extra "zoom" of a 1.6x sensor more than the wide-angle possibilities with full-frame. Ahhh goodness. I need to go take photos with it ASAP, and then I'll be okay.

okaynowIgo. I've got lots to do (or try to do).
shwa!
