Great Day
I will try to make this brief because of how late it is and how tired I am, but I just wanted to say that tonight was such a great night! Went to the Pittsburgh Penguins game with Steph, and it just was a blast. We had so much fun together, it was great. Nothing to worry about, no thinking about things, no stress, just a fantastic time. I find it hard to believe when I look back now that I almost did not buy her those tickets when she got back together with her ex, mostly because I felt that it would be inappropriate and partially because I was really down and discouraged about the whole thing. And though things are not perfect and where I would like to see things, nights like tonight reassure me that I have made some good choices and that things just can be good sometimes. I know she had a blast, she even mentioned that this was her best Wednesday ever lol. And I must admit, that made me so unbelievably happy hearing her say that. It is amazing to me sometimes that someone's happiness can be so greatly affected by another person, especially when you care so much about that person and you just want to see great things happen for them. And I just feel so great that I was actually able to provide some happiness in her life. And in return, I feel much more happy and fulfilled than I have been for a very long time.
It does sadden me, however, how there have been some not so good things happening in my friends' lives around me as of late. Take for instance the theft of your computer Eric the other day. That is terrible, and it is sort of a slap in the face when you are really trying to believe in people and that they are good natured at heart still. It may take some time before you start trusting in the goodness of people, but don't become permanently distrusting of others; it is not a good way to live.
I was also saddened to hear about your day Justin, and how there were some not so good things happening for you as well. That is a little surprising only because of how great things seem to have been going for you. Everyone has those days, just try not to let it get to you too much. Oh, and Justin, I need to talk to you about Angels for Animals. In my one class, we are assigned this group project where we have to involve ourselves with a non-profit organization, and I brought up the idea of Angels for Animals because I knew you volunteered there, and I was hoping you can maybe help out my group and I getting a foot in the door. I can go over details later, but if you could help us out a bit, that would be great.
Oh, and before I forget, I got a real job. One that like, pays pretty well. I will be working for Aflac! The answer to all of your questions is yes, my boss will be a duck. Looking forward to that, as well as the apartment, and having to take only 4 classes next semester for my last semester before I graduate...great mood!
