Here come's Nick's weekly update...for all of my loyal fans out there just itching to get a peek into my life. Not too much has heppened in the weeks since Spring Break. Last week was really busy with tests and homework and such, and this weekend was just a blast. Got to go home and see my family, since it was my Grandpa's 80th birthday. Got to hang out with my Mom's side of the family for two solid days. It was a blast, I love my family :) Also, go to see and talk to some friends that I hadn't seen in a while, and had some much-needed conversations, which I was really looking forward to, and I hope to have more often. I've been thinking about what John said about everyone changing, and I agree that this summer we're all going to have to put forth an effort to get to know the new "everyone," but that's not going to happen while we're all in a group. I've learned so much more about Justine and Brandon this weekend from just the short, 1-2 hour conversations I had with them than I would have if we had all hung out in a group for a few days. I think one-on-one conversation is going to be the key. Henceforth (contextually correct or not, that's an awesome word), I have decided that I will be taking people out on "dates" this summer, because I'm not going to get to know anyone really well if we're constantly together. Let me know what everyone thinks of this. Everyone that actually reads this, anyways. But, back to my life. This week has been really good, because it's been really easy and empty. Really the only work I have to do is for my research paper, and the first draft is due Monday. It's only 8-10 pages, so it shouldn't be too bad. Also, this weekend we'll find out if I made the drumline or not. Saturday is the final tryout/camp, and if I'm back by 1 then I didn't make it. If I'm not back until 5 or 6, then I made it. So, if you want an instant update, just check the away message. This weekend will be packed with fun times with the CRU people, too. Tomorrow night, Koinonia House (the Christian men's house on campus) is hosting a Root Beer Keggar, so that should be a lot of fun, even though I can't stay late because of drumline the next morning. Saturday night, a group of them are going to go out Salsa dancing at some club in Champaign, so I think I'm going to go to that, because it should be a lot of fun. We had a dance party at PCB in one of the rooms, and I had a blast, and hopefully I'll get pretty good at Salsa dancing, and add it to my repertoire of dance moves (of which, I only have moderately good swing dancing at the moment). And lastly, another pretty exciting thing happened last night. CRU has a semi-formal every Spring, and last night I asked Amy, who I met at PCB, and so now I have a date :), so I'm pretty excited abou that. That should be a lot of fun.

Is anyone else getting pumped for summer? This year just completely flew by me...we've only got 3 and a half weeks left after this!! And, my last final is definitely tuesday of finals week, so I'm going to have a lot of time to just chill here before coming home, which should be a lot of fun. Finals week rules. Well, I hope you all enjoyed this weekly update. Tune in next week...same place, random time...for the next installment of my life. Have a great week/weekend!

P.S. I wanna thank Bish for his awesome support of my first March 14th post, and I think he had some awesome things to say, especially in the blog post he references, which is amazing.
