This morning I had the most intense craving for waffles. Specifically Belgian waffles from Stacks in Burlingame with some kind of fruit and those home fry things that aren't quite as good as hash browns but are nice to have from time to time. I didn't get the waffles, instead I watched tv and then pulled out all my old year books going back to my first grade yearbook from Washington Elementary school. I flipped through the pages looking for something, someone I don't know and I couldn't remember. We all looked so strange, bad haircuts and funky bermuda looking patters on our clothes. I went up through the years seeing how it all changed. A little flip book of my life, although I'm strangely missing from a lot of the books. These are the people I grew up with but people I don't even know. On one page there is a photo of me dressed up as indiana jones for halloween, next to me in the photo is a girl dressed as some kind of peasant or maybe a milkmaid. No matter how hard I try I can't remember who she is. She is next to me in the photo and I don't know her anymore like she was some inanimate prop in my childhood that was forgotten as soon as we moved on to the next scene.
