1. Pedobear 8D ahahahaa (i think it's the icon)
A scourge to parents, a supply of endless candy, a true anti-hero for the modern age.
2. Kpop concert in 2004
The improbability of such an night ever happening still amuses me to this day. Virtually all the big names in kpop (at the time) - Shinhwa, BoA, BabyVOX, NRG, Koyote, and a bunch of others- all performing in the Sydney Opera House, for our entertainment? Steve getting us FRONT ROW TICKETS? A security guard who let us go up to the stage and hand over roses (Lee Hee Jin <3)? JunJin walking offstage in front of me, giving me the opportunity to scream out his name in the most grossly embarrassing display of fanboyism imaginable (and his startled and confused reaction)?
What a night. XD
3. Non work-related emails XD <3
The one thing that keeps me sane at work. Well, that and candy. A drawer full of candy. Wether it's a forwarded email of a cat in an amusing pose, or a story of the drive to work... anything to save me from work, even for a few precious seconds.
4. Morning Musume
The most delicious irony of my momusu fandom is who started it- Splatty, who loathes idol music so very much. A chance purchase of their album No.5 from the upstairs jpop shop in Chinatown by him in 2003 was the first time I'd heard them, and they stuck in my head for a long time. I didn't fully investigate them until 2005, but when I did... well, I think the adventures portrayed in this LJ are a testament to their effect.
5. Waffles XD
The most delectable of breakfast foods.
While I'm reminiscing, let's talk about a present I got many moons ago, from the lands far to the south.
5 years ago, this most insanely awesome of gifts, a waffle iron, engraved with the visage of the goddess Ayupan- was bestowed on me by Slypants at anime.au 03, on behalf of a cabal of conspirators from Melbourne. This gift remains, to this day- and I imagine until the end of days- to be the greatest gift ever given. <3
