Hi,
this time after a long time I finally decided to share new information about Brazil. This time it is not about a specific place, location, or important local date. It is about a fruit that is growing here: Goaiaba.
It is a tree of two kinds: red (more common, tasted for me like a modification of strawberry or its kind) and white (rare one, much sweeter, and I liked it more). Its size can range from 5 to 8 cm in diameter.
Few photos of the tree that is growing at our faculty can be found
here.
Except of common way of eating this fruit (wash and nom-nom-nom), there is a sweet (looks like a berry jam) that can be prepared also. I tried it - it is extremely sweet and tasty. Though as it is I prefer not to eat it. Also, goiabada (sweet from goaiaba) together with a special type of cheese can be covered in a dow and fried (maybe then also cooked in owen) - and is one more sweet called Romeo and Julietta (as sweet is combined with sour).
