The last two weeks the work in the lab started, therefore I do not have enough time devoting to blog. Nevertheless, there was some good out-of-work actions I would like to share.
1) My first brazilian food: tapioka.

here.
Tapioka is kinda a pancake that is made of some wet grains with coconut slices and condensed milk (I like this combination the most). Farofa (is the name, but I might be wrong...depending on the grain size names is different) - is a grain powder used to prepare tapioka. I didn't manage to make it look nice, but it tastes very good :)
2) This week I got a chance to go twice to near city Sao Jose Dos Campos to visit two research institutions (other campus of UNESP - University I am working at) and Research Institute of Aerospace Research INPE. Though I wouldn't put any pictures related to the research here as it might violate some interests, but the territory of both campus(ae?) was good to take a shots of (I tried to put some comments to photos this time when they are needed). The photos are here:
UNESP SJDC and
INPE SJDC. And, after visiting these institutions I will say: Brazil is far underestimated with respect to scientific potential. I remember phrases of some (even professors) from Europe telling that...ahh, Brazil, what kind of science they doing...
And I will need to admit that they were fully wrong.
