Sometimes it's okay to pimp yourself out. Post a list of your top five fic-favorites you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most. Then tag five other people to do the same.
- Tea & Domesticity (DW, Ten/Rose) I think many of us can agree that the Doctor and Rose can go into annoying couple mode at times. They're probably 1 step away from dressing alike. OH WAIT. Anyway, it amuses me to think of Sarah Jane rolling her eyes at one of their annoying couple moments, and it was fun writing from her POV. :D Also, the Doctor makes TARDIS noises with his mouth. *snickers*
- Inertia (DW, Ten/Rose) This was written before S3, so it's completely off canon, but I still like it. I like that Martha was a battle-scarred soldier whose fiance was killed in a skirmish. She was the only one who survived, so the Doctor and she totally related to each other in that way. I like explaining the Beast's prophesy, which always bugged the crap out of me. (It doesn't work, unless he was just talking smack. He probably was, but STILL.) I shot down AU Replacement Character Syndrome, with Rose realizing that an AU Doctor wasn't the same, in spite of the wholesale acceptance of AU Pete on the show. Basically this fixed everything that made me cranky at the end of S2. :D Also, I'm rather proud of the fact that I made up an actual plot. (For the record, I do believe it makes more sense that Rose found her way back to the Doctor, instead of the Doctor finding Rose like in this fic.)
- Signing Up (DW, Ten II/Rose) This was another fic where it was part writing therapy in ironing out the problems of a series finale. I have a strong aversion to AU characters being replacements, so I needed to hash through for myself why Ten II was not this. Writing from his POV helped, and I'm very happy with the initial awkwardness (and even anger), but also being drawn to each other simply because they're them. It's basically my personal canon for the first 3 days in the altverse.
- The Dark and Stormies - Suddenly a Jaffa Yelled "Kree!", The Hamster Strikes Back, and The Phantom Cheese (SG-1, Sam/Jack, Daniel/Janet, JojoMichelle/Everyone) These were an utter joy to write with josephides and I laughed to tears whenever I would get new parts from her. Parody on crack, this is. :D
- Miscommunication (SG-1, Sam/Jack) I like this one because it shows off the humorous disconnect that Sam and Jack have away from the field. That sort of blinking at each other and shuffling of the feet when they're not covering each other from enemy fire. This basically summed up their relationship to me back then.
