Bwah! It amuses me that so many people think Alan Dale is actually American.

(He's not even an Aussie, he's a Kiwi. But like all good and successful things the Aussies tell everyone he's one of theirs. Phar Lap anyone? ;o) )

Having just watched the episode, I am a bit *blink WTF now?* about the whole H Bomb thing. But am sure the girl said American army, 'cause there was the whole "and you have a Chinese guy because...?" thing.

HEH! I wouldn't be able to tell the difference, I'm afraid. :D

She thought what's-his-name was part of the American army. Dale? The scientist dude. But the soldiers running around had Australian accents. (Or something like that.)

*goes back to episode*

"You can't expect me to believe that you, a Chinese man and a woman are all part of the United States Military."

;o)

Alan "Don't call me Jim Robinson" Dale plays ye olde Widmore, the young Widmore had a fairly believeable Brit one thank God. I cringed when everyone at Oxford was speaking insanely posh English. I've been to Oxford. Nu-uh.

Right. She thought he and the others were part of the American army. But if they wanted me to think that she and the others in her group was part of the American army, they shouldn't have hired actors with other accents. :D

Um, sorry for butting in, but I thought her and the others, including Widmore, were Others, capital O. And that they killed the American army people who invaded the island to do their nuclear experiments and refused to leave, because apparently Richard was ordered to do so (by Jacob I suppose).

...no?

*iz confuzed*

I don't know, English isn't my first language and accents confuse me. I can distinguish British, American and Scottish, but that's it...

I think that's right - and they thought that this new group of people (our band of time-traveling islanders) was part of the whole American army thing.
