Sleepy Hollow: I have a problem. So far I LOVE Abbie. She is one of those rare 3D characters that appear once in a blue moon. The other characters are also pretty darn good. (Well...lol John Cho. What are your acting choices?) But the plot is just so so so incredibly silly. Last night when I was watching 1x02 I was playing on my computer

Quiet, you! XD I guess maybe I wasn't expecting so much fantasy? WHICH, I KNOW. HEADLESS HORSEMAN. XD
I've been interested in Brooklyn Nine-Nine because of Andre Braugher and other things, but I haven't really watched a sitcom in years because my embarrassment squick is continually set off. What kind of humor does this show have?
It's sort of a cross between the Office and Barney Miller. (If you've ever watched reruns of that show.) I really don't remember embarrassment humor. The painful situation-type, that is. Or if there was, it was low enough not to register. I think you'd be safe trying out the first ep.
With OUAT, I'm hoping the focus on Hook is just a promo thing because they know people find his actor hot. I'm really, really hoping. *crosses fingers* I'm not sure too much Hook will absolutely kick me out, but what will definitely kick me out is if there's an actual romance for him. With anyone. Especially (but not limited to) if it's prior to him abjectly begging for forgiveness.
UGH. UGH! Hook/Forever Alone OTP. It would have been lovely if he could have been killed off with a resolution with Rumpel.
I will admit that SH was more... over the top than I was expecting. I really wasn't expecting the whole Death on a Pale Horse/Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse/The End is Nigh thing it's got going on. Although I am amused that they explicitly gave themselves at least seven years in the pilot. But I have stuck with shows like Supernatural for years which include many of the same sorts of ridiculousness, so it doesn't bother me that much.
I actually vaguely remember Barney Miller from when I was a child, although I can't remember whether it was the actual show or reruns. I think I'll give it a shot.

So many people have tried to kill him; surely one of them should have succeeded by now???

I was kind of wondering if this is what Supernatural fans feel like - you love the characters and try not to pay too much attention to the plot. XD
