I'm not 100% sure that's the interpretation we're supposed to walk away with, but it's shown immediately after the surgery scene, and the flaky bits of metal on the chain look awfully familiar. I've seen it mentioned a few places.

Jarvis was totally pissed at Tony the day he was all "WHAT IS PEPPER'S TASTE, SHE WILL LOVE THIS, RIGHT?"
Jarvis: "Yes, sir."

Because ANYTHING created/programmed by Tony is eventually going to be a troll.

Favorite part of the movie: Dummy being all "!!!! WHERE IS MY FIRE EXTINGUISHER!?!?!?! THERE IS A FIIIIIIIIRE." after Tony's initial attempt at the armor being called to him by the little receivers he injected into himself.

HA! Yes! (Was sad the robots went down with the house, but happy he rebuilt them. Was more concerned about the robots than Happy. XD)

Speaking of tacky, was there any kind of comic in-joke with the giant rabbit? Or was it just another example of how useless Tony is when he has to buy his own presents? "I KNOW WHAT PEPPER WANTS! STRAWBERRIES! A GIANT BUNNY! A TACKY NECKLACE!" It's a good thing you're cute, Tony.

NOPE, no comics tie in that I know of. He was just being holding of terrible taste. *pats him* Pepper totally only keeps him around due to his loyalty and the continuing game of side-eye and "...." she keeps playing with all of his friends. (Also, he's cute.)
