With the migration of people from ff.net to AO3, I'm really wishing that there was a betaed/not betaed check box that you could filter by. It would be WONDERFUL. (And if some people tried to cheat and check the box without an actual beta, there should be another box the readers can check marked BULLSHIT.)
Now sometimes it's genuinely not needed and there is such a thing as typos and little mistakes, even using a beta. But I'm talking about the fics that make mistake after mistake after mistake after mistake. It's... JUST. GAH. I'm not sure if it's because people are too damn lazy to have someone look over the fic or what. (Again, some fics don't really need a beta - just depends on the writer.)
And in a semi-related note, it's never a good idea to use "sausage" in a sex scene in a non-ironic way.
