Curtains and a mortgage.

I was looking through my drafts folder in gmail (72 saved emails? okay then.) and ran across this fic snip. Free to a good home, or call it a fic prompt if you like.

"Hello!"

The Doctor grinned at the surprised man standing at the door.

"Welcome to the break room!" the Doctor continued. "Or kitchen. Or lounge. Or...not sure what you call it. A place to get snacks and coffee and tea and chat over the watercooler, but describing it with less words. Brilliant invention. Something to drink?" The Doctor took a sip of tea from the mug he'd found. It had 'Caffeine Addict' on it.

"Erm...yes? Are you supposed to be here?"

"Absolutely!" The Doctor held out his hand and the man cautiously shook it. "I'm here in your wonderful estate office to sign something about a house, which is a bit silly especially considering the fake name... um, on the house. Yes. Fake name on the house. Who names a house? Although I might be partial to naming one Larry. Your name isn't Larry, is it? I'm the Doctor, by the way."

The man blinked. "Oh, you're a client? You shouldn't be in here. All that stuff happens on the main floor."

"And I'm...where exactly?"

There was more blinking. "Tenth floor? There might have been a lift involved."

"Ooh, sarcasm! I like you, Larry!"
